Hong Kong Coliseum
9 Cheong Wan Road, Hung Hom, KowloonSince its inauguration on 27 April 1983, the Hong Kong Coliseum has established itself as one of the most popular multipurpose indoor stadiums in Hong Kong for local and international major sports events, spectacular entertainment programmes, pop concerts and conventions.
Shaped uniquely like an inverted pyramid, the Coliseum is one of the most eye-catching landmarks on the waterfront of Hong Kong. The imposing design of its interior was constructed from rooftop downwards which creates a maximum column-free space out of the arena of 1 600 square metres, providing an unobstructed view of the arena for an audience of over 10 000 on four sides.
Adjacent to the Hung Hom MTR station, the Coliseum is easily accessible by trains and other public transport for its prime location and well-developed transport network. With its size, shape and purpose catering for a wide variety of events, the Coliseum has played host to thousands of major events ranging from superstar concerts and classical music performances to sports competitions and international conferences.
