Five-a-side basketball:
Men’s and women’s adult divisions

Three-a-side basketball:

Hong Kong will host the basketball competition (men U22).
Rules:
Each team has 5 players on the court. The game consists of 4 quarters, each lasting 10 minutes, with a total game time of 40 minutes.
Players control the ball with their hands and score by shooting the ball into the opponent’s basket. Different scoring areas award different points: scoring inside the three-point line grants 2 points, outside the three-point line grants 3 points, while a free throw gives 1 point. The team with higher score wins.
In case of a tie after 4 quarters, there will be a 5-minute overtime period. If the score remains tied after this period, additional 5-minute overtimes will be played until one team wins.
Players can only advance the ball by passing or dribbling. Advancing the ball without dribbling is considered a travelling violation. Once a player has stopped dribbling (i.e. holding the ball with both hands or standing still), he or she must not dribble again but to pass or shoot the ball, or else it is considered a double dribble violation. A team must attempt a shot within 24 seconds after gaining possession, or else it is considered a violation.
