Kai Tak Stadium, featuring the theme of “Pearl of the Orient” as its design concept, has a seating capacity of around 50 000. It boasts a retractable roof and flexible pitch surface that can host a wide range of international, regional and local sports and entertainment events, as well as community activities in all weather conditions.

The stadium is designed to meet various venue requirements for holding major international sports events, with customisable staging and seating configurations to cater for various event scales and crowd sizes. It also adopts a flexible pitch system design which can be switched from quality natural turf for premier football or rugby matches to other pitch surfaces for a myriad of sports, entertainment and community events. The South Deck Terrance honours the great Hong Kong Rugby Sevens tradition, with a vast activity platform set against a panoramic glass wall that offers a commanding view of the Victoria Harbour.


Kai Tak Arena

Kai Tak Arena has a seating capacity of around 10 000, with 80% of the seats being retractable or removable to accommodate different events. It is designed to meet the standards of major international tournaments including badminton, basketball, gymnastics, tennis and table tennis. The ancillary sports hall inside the Arena provides seating for up to 500.

With the use of different overlay floor surfaces and a removable spectator seating system, the Arena can be configured for various sports activities, ranging from elite competitions to community matches.


Bowling Centre

The bowling centre is built to international standard and equipped with 40 lanes, capable of hosting international tournaments.
