Volunteer Programme
To facilitate the smooth operation of Hong Kong events of the 15th National Games (NG), the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities (NGD) and the 9th National Special Olympic Games (NSOG), we need a volunteer team with passion and efficiency. During the competition events, mass participation events and relevant mega events, volunteers will provide an array of services, including reception services upon arrival and departure, spectator services, guest reception, crowd control, transport and logistics, catering management, as well as presentation ceremony support. The first round of volunteer recruitment, which was conducted from July to September 2024 in Hong Kong, has successfully received over 30 000 applications. The second round of recruitment, which was conducted from October 2, 2024 to November 15, 2024 targeting youths aged between 15 and 17, has attracted around 2 000 youth applicants.
The number of applicants for the Volunteer Programme has far exceeded expectations, echoing our slogan, “Let’s Volunteer for the National Games”. The interviews and selection process are currently underway with great intensity, involving about 300 dignitaries and representatives from various social sectors serving as the interview board members, which adds transparency and credibility to the volunteer interview process. At the same time, the selection of group volunteers is also being conducted simultaneously. Selected candidates will be invited to attend training courses starting from the first quarter of 2025.
