Winning works of the Architectural Installation Design Competition

The Glowing Blossom of Unity
Theme: The sculpture is inspired by fractal patterns in nature and employs biomimetic design to symbolise the shared roots as well as mutual co-operation and prosperity of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Three stainless steel stems emerge from a common "root", branching into a "one-becomes-three" fractal expansion to manifest a diverse yet united sprit among the three regions.
Architect Team: IP Hay Fung Stephen, CHAN Chun Yu Keith, NG Siu Cheong Eric, KEUNG Shing Fung Adwin, KAN Po Ying Kathy, PANG Hoi Ching Hannah
Location: The Central and Western District Promenade

One Step at a Time and Every Step Counts
The large shoe print on the ground and the 6-metre-high sneaker ahead combine to represent "One Step at a Time", visually characterising the steadfastness, perseverance and resilience of sportsmanship as well as the prevailing successful development of the Greater Bay Area and China. The single foot expresses the theme of inclusive collaboration, uniting athletes of all physical abilities by a shared spirit of tenacity. Additionally, the two Chinese words on the sole highlight the collaborative efforts of the three regions to achieve the 2025 National Games with the spirit of teamwork in the Greater Bay Area.
Architect: CHAN Lai Kiu
Location: Kai Tak Station Square
The winning works will be on long-term display at the locations mentioned above.
